I like the drawing of the kid: nice energetic line. The shells in the wagon, though. Cut and pasted from various online stuff. In retrospect, doesn't work. Should've just drawn the damn things.

Anime Weekend Atlanta
The ceremonial burning of the Magic card at the opening of Anime Weekend Atlanta.
The rule is: No magic, no vampires, and no fucking Klingons.
I always imagine a furtive pack of vampires and Klingons playing "Magic the Gathering" in one of the rooms...

Cartoon: The Hell You Say / April 1993
This cartoon illustrated Kevin Dean's "The Hell You Say" column in the April 1993 Sarasota Arts Review. He used the recently release of a Rhino box set as a jumping-off point to discuss the bogus media image of the Beat Generation. One of my better cartoons. Strong, simple and clean -- and I captured the tone of his piece.
