May 16, 12:38 a.m. — 3800 block of South Tamiami Trail. A person called the police department to report 50 or 60 teens in 15 or 16 cars were fighting behind a car wash. Fifty to 60 people in only 15 or 16 cars? Sounds more like a clown convention.

The crime of century

LAKEWOOD RANCH - May 7, 9 a.m. — 6500 block of Flycatcher Lane. Vehicle burglary. Unknown persons entered the locked truck by unknown means and went through the victim’s property in the cab area of the truck. The suspects removed the victim’s brief case and left it outside the driver’s door in the bushes. At the time of the report, nothing was found missing.
