Scam artist foiled
10:34 a.m. — 3700 block of GMD. Phone Call. A woman reported that she answered her sister’s phone and some man claiming to be her grandson called her to explain that he was in a bind in Canada and needed $2,000 wired immediately. Too bad the scam artist didn’t know he was talking to a houseguest and not his “real grandma.”
